| Too much cam for towing?? I am putting a rebuilt 468 bb in a truck. I have a cam that I think was originally for 396 Chevelles. Specs are 270 dur on intake and exhaust and .510 lift intake and exhaust. I know it isn't a towing cam but I figured with 72 extra cubes it'd have plenty of grunt anyway. Long term I'd like to put this engine in a Camaro or Chevelle or if money permitted I'd like to build a 57 chevy pickup on a newer frame and suspension, drop the big block in and have a towing hotrod. Carb I selected is Holley Avenger 670cfm. Stock intake (so far) and stock "smog" heads. |
