97 Siverado Brakes

My brake light is on, brake pedal is real soft, checked the fluid, topped it off, pumped the brakes, pedal still soft, no fluid leaking anywhere that I can see. What's my problem? Master Cylinder?
Thanks so much for suggestions, and approximate costs to repair.

Sounds like air in the lines, Look at the rear wheel cylinders for evidence of fluid leaking, If you had to top it off then it is leaking somewhere.

That just causes warped rotors and premature brake wear. Your loss of fluid makes me think you have a leaking wheel cylinder.

Im with chevyguy if you had to add fluid there is a leak and whel cylinders are common. If you didnt have to add fluid and the pedal is low and soft could be a master cylinder bleeding down internaly.
