| If you like to work on your car, those code readers are a good investment.. you can read the code and reset the light on the newer ones. BTW.. if you do, spend the extra money on a digital display.. I about killed the one for my mustang that beeps/blinks.. its like listening to morse code.. takes to much practice and you don't use it enough.

| my dad got a nice code reader, he can hook it up to his palm pilot and choose up to 12 sensors at a time to read, he can ride down the road, and see what everything is doing..... it's pretty sweet

| to reset the engine light and erase code you can disconect both batterie cables and touch them together for about 30 seconds and that should do it. gmtech told me of that trick. If you need to find a problem that is there first take it to Autozone or some place like that and they can read the code for you and reset the computer. |

| you might want to go to your local oil changing place and ask them how they reset the alarm on their oil changes they do on the trucks like yours |

| I recommend retrieving the code and solving that problem, not just resetting the light. Resetting the light wont fix whatever set in in the first place. It just hides it momentarily.
