Exclamation Engine Vibration

I recently installed a manual transmision in my 1989 K1500 pick-up that originally had an automatic, and now a have a very bad vibration in the engine. I bought a new flywheel for that year of truck and a new cluch and pressure plate and throw-out bearing and also a new pilot bushing. The motor is about 5 years old and is a balanced and blueprinted crate motor from Autozone. What are some possible causes?

Was that engine balanced with that flywheel? It could be one of the causes.

Is the vibration noticable with the truck sitting still and the clutch depressed, or just when driving?

You might check with a parts store and see if the harmonic balancers are the same for an automatic and manual transmission, something tells me they are different.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys,

I got thinking about it the other day and thought that the imput shaft may be bent were it rides in the pilot bushing, so I pulled the tranny and went and got a junk-yard five speed and that solved the problem. I sound kinda weird because even with the transmission in gear and the cluch pushed in it still vibrated because the pilot bearing was still spinning around the end of the imput shaft. It now works great and gets better gas milage! Thanks Again.
