| Engine dying afte running a few mins. on 89 s-10 Ok We had a 89 s-10 110,000 miles. fuel injected. 4 speed 4 cyl. Sitting down the barn for 3 years casue it had a hole in the tank. so i put enough gas in it to get me to the car pit on top the hill and i pull it on fix the hole fix all the broken breaklines. Fixed 2 broken fuel lines. Ididnt have it running long enough before i brought it up to see if it did this but i know before it went down there it ran fine. Well now i put fuel in it run it around the feild about 2 times and it just dies out it will do it at idle after a while also. I dont know whats causeing this. My dad has no idea eathier. It has to sit about 5 mins then will start right back up and run for a few min. before it dies. We just want to use it to run around the farm. and it cant ever be road leagle any ways casue it was rolled a few years back and has a bent cab. |

| Sounds like it could be a plugged up fuel filter. Take it off and see if you can blow threw it. |

| I Agree With Gm Tech If Not The Fuel Filter It Could Be The Fuel Pump Those Years Both Ford And Gm Seem To Have That Problem It Runs For A Little While The Fuel Pump Worms Up TheN Locks Up But Try The Filter First It Is More Likely To Be The Culprit.
