 | Looking at a '06 Crew 1500 I am new to the forum. Does anyone have any feed back about the 2006 Crew Cab 1500 Silverado? I am looking at the 2wd, 4.8L, and the only option i do want is the locking rear end (G80). And insite on the truck would be helpful! Thanks!!  |

| I just bought one a week ago, except I got 4wd. Very nice truck. Only 10 hp less than the 5.3L. Yet, only 1 mpg gas savings. But hey, that means you can go 26 miles farther on a tank than the 5.3! :0 Advice: get the factory installed tow package (includes: hitch, wiring assembly, high capacity air cleaner and most importantly an auxillary transmission cooler). Even if you don't tow much now, it'll be nice to have when you need it. Super truck. I love to drive it!
