 | cruise control does any one know or why the cruise control would stop working on my 98 chevy silverado 5.7 truck and some time its ok replaced the shift unit on the steering column just 11 1/2 months ago at $650.00 bucks  ........pete

| My first place that I would start is the brake switch. If the brake switch is misadjusted it can cause the intermittant concern. If while using the cruise if you can get it to set try to just very slightly tap the side of the brake pedal with you foot while drining and seeif it cuts out. Or if it wont set try holding up slightly on the brake pedal to see if it sets and see if that is the problem. I have not had too many problems with the cruise on the trucks. |
