| 4x4 & Exhaust Question on the 4 wheel drive trucks does the exhaust go straight back from the Y-pipes or does it curve left, because i got a dual exhaust setup from a friend that i think come off a 4wd chevy 88-94 body style and at the front it curves back towards the driver side to where its been cut off and its not part of the original Y-pipe. I've never seen one like this, i've only seen ones that go straight back from the Y-pipe, and this is not a true dual exhaust setup. if anybody has some answers or also if anybody has a topo type drawing of a cab off 4 wheel drive setup to where i can see how everything is set up it would be appreciated, my truck is out of state and i havent got to see it yet besides pics and im bored and dying of curiousity. never messed with any 4wd's, this is gonna be my first. hopefully i dont sound like a total retard. thanks |

| 4 the exhaust it shouldnt because it clears the transfer case be4 it hits the collector in the Y-Pipe so I donno what thats about.. it maybe the bump in the pipe 2 clear a frame brace like I have on mine but it would be a curve up.

| i have a 1989 k 1500 , and i had to run both pipes up the passenger side of my truck , u cant run them straight back due to the gas tank being on the driver side as well as the gas lines , i dont think u want to make more heat in that area .. i just bent a "s" pipe for the driver side bank , and for the passenger side bank i just went straight back , then i turned the mufflers straight up side by side , and threw turn downs on the ends , worked perfectly , pluse u can tuck it up there quite a ways for extra clearence when 4x4ing or having to use less material when building skid plates , less weight is better.. good luck hope this helps u out |
