Hood Clearance???

Does anybody know if you can run a stock hood with a Throttle Body Spacer and a non-drop 3" Air Cleaner????

T was able to use my 1 inch spacer and factory air cleaner on my 94 silverado 350.

I used a one inch spacer and factory air cleaner assembly on my 93

but do you think theres room for an aftermarket aircleaner. like a non drop setup with a 3 inch filter element???

Here is how to tell. Put the top of the engine together as best as you can (old air cleaner and stuff on). Make clay towers (like small pyramids or such shape, silly putty or play-doh works well for this) and put on top of the engine at its highest point (old air cleaner?). Shut the hood making sure you have clearance and don't hit anything. Open hood back up and measure height of clay. That is how much your engine overall height can grow before hitting the hood. You should leave an inch or so for clearance to the hood so the air cleaner doesn't hit when the engine is torqueing over.
