| I have a 93 surburban, I can't figure out where the wires are for the radio. The radio is connected to the equalizer but no other wires. But inside the radio are colored wires but not enough to connect to the harness. I have never seen this before. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| well you connect the wires from the after market radio to the harness and the harness should just clip into what connects into the back of the radio... but on a 93 the mounting equipment with have you relocate the radio to the dash under the middle vents.... also you have to disconnect and remove the stock amp which is above you gas pedal. ive installed a lot of stereo systems in a lot of different cars, but this kind was one of the biggest pains to replace the head unit.

| the type of head unit doesnt really matter, its just to make sure you have the right wiring harness

| Scottie, You are probably right. Just from looking at the wiring configuation. I will try this and see if I can get this radio in after 3 weeks. |

| I realize you already have the new unit, but I've been dealing with Crutchfield for many years for all my aftermarket stereo equipment. They are excellent to buy from and work with. You will always get good instructions, along with the correct wiring harness to match up to your vehicle. One evening of prep work, soldering your harness wires together, and you're ready to install the next day. It's always very simple. If you need assistance, Crutchfield sales and technical service employees are all very knowledgeable. I recommend them to anyone. |

| Hey] I believe you have a 3 piece stereo unit. You have the head unit which controls your radio stations Then there is the e/q with the optional tape deck. and under the dash there is the main reciever unit. the other two are plugged into this. Go buy the wire harness and connect your stereo wires to it. disconnect everything from the main reciever under the dash. completely remove the factory E/q. Note: You may have to buy a stereo dash kit, this will house you aftermarket stereo. Also you may have to buy an antenna adapter. Now plug the wire harness into the factory wire harness. and complete the rest.. |
