| No fire to cap I have fire coming in to my coil, but nothing going to my cap. This is a 1988 Silverado with a 305. I know it must be something that I have done because I recently changed the cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and coil. The truck ran before that. I have checked everything that I can think of. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks |

| there is a little module which is at the base of the distributer cap, check there. The coil plugs into that, two 7mm bolts holds it in if i remember correctly. Also check the wires from the coil, i had one break at the connector but the insulation of the wire was still intact, and i pulled gently to make sure the wires were good and off she come |

| Has to be either the ciol itself or the module. I would suspect the coil that is in the rotor cap since it ran before you took it apart. Make sure it is plugged back in.
