s10 won' crank

i have a 1998 s10 2.2 . it will turn over. its getting fire and fuel. fuel pressure 45 lbs. check all sensors.will not crank please help .also replaced timming gear.

Are you sure you are getting spark? Where did you check the spark, did you check it at the plug?

He said it turns over. Starter is not the problem. How did you check the fuel pressure. Did you check the fuel peressure regulator also. It will cause fuel to simply return to the tank without spraying. Try triclking fuel into the motor and start it. If it starts then you have a fuel delivery problem, If not i would suspect timing.

But are you getting spark all the way to the plug? You might be getting spark at the distributor but not to the plugs. Also did you double check your firing order?

Have you changed the crank shaft sensor? I had an intrepid that did that it would turn over but not start. But we were not getting fire from the coyal pack. we were getting fire all the way to that then nothing and it was the crank shaft sensor

Crank sensor would not get fire, Check timing.
