Do a quick search on the net. It saves a lengthy explination. I just know from history. A 350 .30 over is a 353, .40 is a 355, and .60 is a 358. With 400 crank you simply add 30 to the total. It is not exact, you drop everything after the decimal, but it is gets you a realistic figure

Cubic Inch Displacement (CID) = 3.14159(pi) ∙ radius of the cylinder squared (r^2) ∙ stroke ∙ # of cylinders.

or

area of a cylinder ∙ # of cylinders.

Kinda. Like CG said, they (manufacturers) round off to the nearest number(i.e. a 350 is really a 348-9 or 327 was really a 326). Best way to get the area of a cylinder is pi(3.14159)∙r^2∙stroke(height). How about converting CID to Liters? That is another thread some other time.

Yes. CID/61 gets you close enough, after all this isn't rocket science.
