5th wheel Towing !!

Does any one tow a 5th wheel camper? I have a 2004 ext cab 4x4 with 5.3 liter and I believe 373 rear end and was looking for some opinions on if I should risk towing a 30 ft 5th wheel or not.In- laws offered to pay for the hitch and installation if I would tow one for them,told them I would have to ask the pros what they thought.

What kinda truck do you have? 1/2 ton 3/4 ton? What is the weight of the trailer?

Mine is a 1/2 ton ext cab chevy,the trailer weighs about 11,500 lbs.

tow the trailer, its a chevy. it will hold it or die trying

you get the brake controller hooked up and the brakes checked out on the trailer or it might be pushing you down a hill a little too fast.

you should be fine so long as the trailer isnt very tounge heavy
