Vin Decode-real Z71???

Hi Everyone, This is my first post. I am looking at buying a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 with the extended cab. I can't find much info on breaking down the vin code to identify if it's a real Z71 or a "Sticker *****". It was originally sold in Canda and traded in Cleveland Ohio. I know the 1st digit of the vin is Country of origin(2=Canada), 2nd digit is make, 8th is engine(t=5.3) and i think the 10th is the year. I am hoping to confirm that it is indeed a Z71 and the axle ratio. There are some strange things about it that I think may be unique to the Canadian version. It has the Lt type front bucket seats with the console that extends down from the dash(with CD slot,BUT seats are Cloth NOT Leather, and although the 8Th digit of the VIn is a "T" for 5.3 in U.S, the seller insists it is a 4.8(hope he just has no clue), although I would prefer the 4.8(had another 2002 standard cab with it and pulled 22MPG on freeway). Any help will be appreciated.

The Z71 is just a Offroad conversion added to the stock 1500.
It has a stiffer suspension and a tow pakage. And 4x4.

Its just a 4x4 with skid plates and a cool sticker. My dads 92 1/2 ton Z71 doesnt have anything my 93 2500 short bed does. i have a better rear diff because of the 3/4 ton but other than that its the same truck
