| More Questions ? I have a problem that i think you guys can help me with. I am a 16 year old in high school and i am abut to get my license. i have $2000 saved up and a steady good paying job and i saw a 94' cheby blazer 4x4 for sale for $3500. But now that i am interested in that my dad is offering me his ford f-150 for $600 and that is an 85' horible body but it has a new engine. So my question for you is what should i get all i need is something to get me through high school and wont stack me up on maintenence bills?

| what are the mileages and conditions of each? of course id recomend a chevy over a ford any day, but 3500 seems a little pricey for a 94 unless its got low milage and is in decent condition

| How many miles on the rest of the truck? See this is where I interject. i motor mileage does not dictate actual mileage, There are several other components axles, ring and pinion, transfer case, transmission, and steering components) that are effected by mileage. just because someons puts a new engine in it doesnt make it a new truck, Nor does it make actual mileage irrelevant. I know you are not saying it does, just seems to be a trend to ignore actual mileage if it has a newer motor installed.
