i need some help tranny help

some one coverted and automatic to a stick but it only shifts up you have to come to a full and complete stop to down shift

What does it do when you try to downshift when its not stopped. Does it grind the gears or just wont go in to gear. Your clutch might need to be adjusted or bled.

If it is a manual upshifting and downshifting shoudnt be an issue unless you have bad syncronizers, or a worn out clutch, The clutch is out of the picture since you can put it in gear at a stop. I think there is a lack of infornmation here that need to be remedied before we can go any further with this though. i suspect the origional post is backwards maybe. Was stick, now auto maybe?
