| need second opinion I have read all the post on this but I hoping I missed something. After all the testing I am assuming the tranny is bad . I have a 4L60E that will not work in 3rd or 4th gear. First, second and reverse work great. No computer codes in memory and filter and fluid changed. Disconnected computer cable to tranny and forced tranny in failsafe mode still same problem. Tested all selonoids in tranny and are working. I have done all the testing I know of and it all points to a bad tranny. Just looking for a second on my troubleshooting and diagnosis. By the way tranny has 215,000 on it and was working great till tranny line blew out at 65 mph and emptied almost all the fluid. Has anyone rebuilt a 4L60E? I have rebuilt a couple of Dodge Caravan trannies and they were easy. Also who has the best and cheapest tranny rebuild parts. I used Makco a couple of times.
