truck update

we got the eletrical done, but we belive the pistons are stuck. We know the engine is not siezed becuase it was running when it was put into the shed. SO i put some oil in the sparklpug holes hoping it will free the pistons up overnight. The starter run but cant turn the engine over, we think it is becuase the pistons are stuck. Any other ideas on turning it over, or freeing up the pistons?

Wink

Put a 1/2 inch Breaker Bar on the Crankshaft nut and slowly try to go back and forth with it

they're prolly jsut about rusted in position.... i cant really think of any chemical you could put in there that you would want in your cylinder. maybe naval jelly (eats away rust) or liquid wrench. but i'm just not sure

Actually go get some good penetrating oil. i use one called silicroil, works great. Put it in the cylinders and leave the plugs out. Let it set awhile and rerpeat. i would try the breaker bar method to get them free. than crank it over. note. when you parked it all the sediment suspended in the oil is now safely in the oil pan. i recommend either removing the pan and removing the crud, Or i have drained the oil and used a wire to scrape inside the pan to tell me how much is in there. if you dont remove it it will end up in the bearings.
