| 1995 S-10 motor hesitates over 1500rpm Hi my name is chad i own a 1995 s-10 its a 4x4 Center port injection Vortec 4.3 I have been going through fuel pumps like no other i dont know if its because they are napa brand or what? Just today i filled my truck up and went to pull out of the gas station as soon as i got over 2000rpm it started hesitating and boging out? I pulled over shut it off and when i started it back up it ran fine for about 5 min then the same thing happened, everytime i turn it off it will run fine for about 5 min then it starts boging after 200rpm if anybody has any ideas or has seen this problem i would greatly appreciate some feed back thank you. | when you pulled the fuel pump did you check the tank for any sediment or change your fuel filter? when was the last time it had a good tune up, it could also be your plugs or wires.

| Have you check the fuel pressure regulator? When it goes bad it will default to an open position thus letting the fuel pressure drop to almost nothing. The fuel will bypass and return to the tank, but the fuel pressure will not be high enough for the motor to run. It is vacumn operated so check your vacumn also. If you have accidentally pulled a hose off and losing vacumn. Hope this helps. |
