1995 chev kv 1500 4x4

my 4x4 fuse keeps blowing when i put it in 4x4.any help would be appreciated by the way hi everyone iam new here first time on a forum.

sounds like a bad actuator on the transfer case.

its not the actuator i changed it and i notice too my oil gage jumps could it be a short somewhere.

is it in both high and low or just one. is it electronic or manual, i'm thinking electronic. have you tried engaging it in neutral.

its a shifter on the floor and no havent tried it in neutral first time i own one.

sorry for the problem and its as soon as i shift it to 4x4 no matter were

my 4 high will not engage unless i am at an almost complete stop and has to be in neutral for 4 low.

The most common cause of a blown fuse on these that i have come accross is the actuator on the front drive axle shorted unless it has had an updated actuator and wiring harness installed then it cause be where the new wiring harness has been attached usualy above the transfer case which could be rubbing on you manual linkage
