| 1990 C1500 Hello and looking forward to participating on the site. Does this model truck use the R12 or the present type freon? How can I tell? |

| 1n 1990, they still used R12 refrigerants. if you look at the connections on the low and high side, they should be screw on type fittings. that would indicate an R12 system. if they are quick disconnects, that is a sign that someone has converted it over to a 134a system. |
