chevy 3500 parking brake

Hey I have a 2001 chevy 3500 and I just replaced the parking brake shoes (ut has the drum e-brake inside the rotor) Wondering if anyone has the hot tip on how to adjust em' after they are assembled. I see a small slot on the backing plate, but nothing you can stick a screw driver into to adjust the little wheel out.

Thanks, Ryan

Back up several times and hit the brakes, Should self adjust.

I have only had luck adjusting them before they are assembled by adjusting it up and keep pulling the rotor off until it has slight drag. Also make sure the parking brake cable is not adjusted up all they way back off adjustment about 3/4 of and inch. There have been bullitens and such on these. Now they went back to the rear drum brakes since they have so many problems with your style

there is an adjustment on the cable part of the e-brake? I searched that truck high and low and couldn't find it? Where is it located?

should be where the single cable splits to go to each wheel.
