Installing an Aux. Tranny Cooler

So my new Silverado didn't come with a tranny cooler, but I'd like to put one on. My boat's not the heaviest, but a cooler is cheap insurance and will extend my tranny's life.

I imagine putting the cooler in the grill is pretty straight forward, and routing the lines, but where do the lines hook to the tranny? Do I need special fittings? Is an aftermarket cooler better than the GM stock cooler (I found it online for $72 brand new)? Thanks.

It's real simple, the instructions come and everything you need come with it. About a 20 min job.

Some tap into your existing lines, some kits require you to cut your existing lines and tie the cooler into them. Read the instruction. They are simple.

I was thinking of using the chevrolet stock tranny cooler. It's only $90 for the cooler and lines. So where are these "existing lines" coming off the tranny? Driver side, passenger? I don't have to lower the tranny, do I? The vehicle is still under warranty and I was thinking of having the dealership do the work just so they don't void my warranty for doing the work myself. Ya know?

Probally a good idea.
Might void the warranty
