1990 chevy 1500 problem e brake light

i have 90 chevy 1500 the e brake light just started blinking, it blinks 5 time the on steady for a sec. then blink 5 times and does that over and over anyone know what that means

Probably means that your e-brake needs a checkup....
That'd be my educated guess

If you dont use it alot they can rot out and go bad. Of course they also wear under heavy use (manual trannys) too lol.

Sounds like the spring that actually returns the pedal and brake in the disengaged position maybe weak. Try pulling up on it with your foot when it is doing it and see if it stops, if so you may replace the spring (or if you don't use it) a zip tie works well, and will break away in case of an emergency.
