Exclamation truck won't fire

98 chevy 1/2 ton won't fire. there is no gage movement or driving lights. try to start truck won't fire. It stalled out couple of times on friday but started up right away. now today went to town for parts ran fine, got home and went to saw some wood and it wouldn't start. messed around for few minutes under hood with battery and had driving lights truck started. shut off at wood pile and nothing cranks over won't fire. Is it the computer, or a module or sensor please help.

Basically check for spark and check for gas and go from there. If you have a check engine light read the code it may very well tell you what is wrong. With a fuel injected car you need a pressure gage and a logic probe to check for gas. Gage to tell if you have pressure and logic probe to tell if you are getting a pulse at the injectors. You can ground a spark plug against the engine to check for spark. There a so many things that it could be that if you guess it can cost you much time money and wasted efffort. Above book will tell you how to go about fixing it. It is well worth the $17 If you get more information tell us and we will help you from there. example (I have spark, or I have gas, etc) If on the other hand the truck doesn't crank check the starter circuit (ign switch, battery cables, power to solenoid etc) the best way to do this is with voltage drop testing.
