89 chevy suburban rear main oil seal

I want to take this thing out to a mechanic becuase, im trying to sell it, and i dont have the time to put a rear main oil seal in my suburban. how much would the general mechanic charge for putting one of those in, im in cali btw. i was also wondering if that blue book is availible to the public. i dont remember if thats what it is called, but its those estimates that say how long it should take to do a certain mechanical job.

rates are going to change from place to place. i know places that charge 75 per hour. some places more and some places less. as for the amount of time, that is also going to depend if its a one piece or two piece rear main seal. i gaurantee that there will be a differance in the 2.

i would say the 200-300 dollar range and most of that is labor.
