 | 91 chevy 4x4, lots of questions I am a freshman at Cal Poly, and i recently purchased a 91 chevy 4x4 with a 350 with 150k miles on it. this truck is completely stock, and I have some general questions about it. What is the difference between the z71 and the 4x4 markings on the truck? i recently took my truck to the pismo sand dunes, and it seemed to struggle more that the 99 suburban that i have oftenly driven there, even with the newwer all terrains aired down. i am not even sure if it has a limited slip, and if so i was wondering what my options are for better traction. Also, I would like to add some sort of aftermarket exhaust and air intake, and possibly a throttle body spacer as well. I am not after making the truck loud, but want to get slightly better fuel economy ( and hopefully power!) can anyone enlighten me on which way i should go with these? |

| Isn't the Z71 have better stock suspension and shocks then noraml 4x4? Not sure on that. How is Cal Poly, I know someone looking to go there for college?

| Its great for engineering and archetecture. the campus is really nice, and it is close to a lot of great beaches |

 | the difference is the decal.  they both handle relatively the same, you may get different shocks or rear springs but that is about it.

| I was told a Z71 package consisted of the bigger tires,gas shocks and skid plates |

| bigger diameter shocks, and a skid plate.
