1996 K1500 engine swap?

I was wanting to change the small 5.7L engine in my K1500 to a cat diesel engine, could this be done? Has anyone had any real luck with this challenge? What is intailed in this project? My goal is to switch to BioDiesel. Thanks all.

you are going to spend alot more money on what you are talking about doing than you want. same thing with the biodesiel. parts are alot higher and depending on what kind of engine you are putting in there, you may be required to install a whole lot of high dollar new computer junk in there. i dont know how well that 1/2 ton is going to stand up to that cat either. i would never try this so cant tell you if luck would be on your side.
