| still weird i have posted about my motor acting weird after i put it in. i have a 1988 suburban t.b.i. 350 i took off the air pump and it has accel coil and plugs and the exhaust gas coming out is too hot and i mean too hot it is heating up the manifolds and the rest of the exhaust system and it is annoying the **** out of me the timimg is dead on and runs mint better than i could have expected but i'm worried about this exhaust gas problem that i'm having cause i dont want any fires. |

| have a mechanic check the temp of the exhaust with a laser temp gauge. he should be able to tell you if the temp is normal.

| i still think that you have a timing problem. you are having combustion happening outside of your cylinders causing it to backfire and misfire and whatnot. i am not reffering to the timing of the ignition. what i am thinking of is valve timing. either that or your spark plugs are not firing like they are supposed to and are not completely burning off all the fuel in the combustion chamber. |
