idling problems

i have a 2000 chevy V6 with 105,000 miles. Every once in while when i start the engine or pull up to a light it idles pretty rough, but the most of the time it runs just fine. Not sure what it could be, i tried changing the spark plugs but that didn't make much difference. any suggestions???

Any mods? Does it only do it when cold? What is your idle set at?

not sure

i am not sure of the setting and not sure how to check for that. it does idle pretty low according to the rpm guage if that makes any difference. it idles at .065 rpms. no mods on this one.

At a 105,000 miles on it maybe its time for a tune up if you have'nt done so. Rotor, cap, spark plug wires, plugs, pcv valve, filter, egr, oxygen sensor.....stuffs like that.

Add Lucas fuel additive into tank. I added Lucas Trans Slip to the wifes Van it fixed it right up the Trans shop told me to add this stuff and it worked now that's a good Trans shop having one try this.
