I have a 03 silverado with platnium plugs and individual coil packs. Its recomended to change at 100,000 miles for platnium plugs. I beleave its the same for you. You might want to wait untill 50,000 or so and install E3 plugs I did and really love them. They are definitly worth the money. About 8 or 9 bucks each. Hope i helped some

Van,

The plugs in the 5.7 vortecs don't need to be changed for 100,000 miles. If you take em out and look at em it'll give you a better idea but they should last 100k

Since the plugs were replaced, we can't say for sure that they are platinum; they may have been replaced with copper. If so, they are due for replacement. Platinum plugs should last longer, but from what I've seen, 100k is a stretch. Sounds good in advertising (low maintenance!), but in the real world, maybe 60-80k is closer to the truth.

Personally, I prefer copper plugs, as they seem to make the engine run a bit smoother, but platinums definitely last longer. Either way, I'd stick to AC's in a GM engine.
