| 4X Actuator? This will be my 3rd 4X4 Actuator since August. Would anyone know the reason why I've gone through so many? It doesn't get used all that much. It's an 88 Chevy Silverado Z71. |

| actuator Hey, are you using a vaccum powered actuator (stock actuator) or the electric powered one? |

| If you keep replacing them then there is something wrong. There is however a fix for it. They make a cable activatedreplacement for the front axle . i cant think of the name right now, but someone will chime in soon.

| It's an electronic actuator. The wiring is still all factory in the truck and when traced... it all seems to be in great shape. The odd time the light on the shifter assembly will go out for showing only 2wd. But that due to the bulb assembly which is getting replaced. |
