Chevy 2500 Question

Hello, My dad is wanting a 3/4 ton truck as well as myself. I can use a desiel but he drives more short distances so he needs and wants a gas 3/4 ton. I was just wondering what a 350 3/4 ton regular cab long box got for milage, and then what a 350 3/4 ton extended cab long box got for milage. Both of which are gas. Does anyone have these or know about what milage they get without too many add-ons and upgrades. Not expecting too well of a gas milage with 3/4 ton gas already though. Thanks in advance.

it is so hard to say of course because of the factors of age of truck, terrain, payload and most importantly, how much lead you have in that right foot. that said my 1990 w/ 305 would get over 800 miles on a 30 gal fill. i would expect you can get somewhere in the 20 mpg range. my newer 6.0L 2500 gets about 600 mi out of 30 gal and that is a big truck. i make a conscious effort not to drive hard and save gas.

Well its nothing too new any means something around the 3-7,000 dollar price range. Basically a 98 or older. He doesnt beat on his trucks. I was figuring a 350 3/4 ton around 10-12 mpg though for that era of truck. Thanks again.

Talking

I have a 3/4 ton GMC with a 350 automatic with 3:73 and get around 15 to 19 per gal.
