What could causing this thing to run good while cold but when I get it hot and push down the gas to hit passing gear it just bogs down bad untill i release the gas pedal. I am getting no codes after resetting them and I was wondering if a plugged catalytic converter could be the culprit. it still stalls every now and then but seems to run fine besides what I just explained to yous.

try spraying starter fluid around the tbi and vacum hoses. the tbi gasket dries out on the old blazers and gets sucked into the intake. if it bogs down when you hit it with the starter fluid then you found your problem.

Ya know Mud I would just junk this but it's a Tahoe LT with leather seats and power everything and it runs but just has a few flaws in it here and there. I had the plenum gasket changed when I had the two fuel lines under there replaced cause they were bad. It so close to being good I just cant find the heart to get rid of it. I'm gonna try to change a few sensors like the mass air flow, intake temp, EGR, and maybe the O2. I'll start from the cheapest one and go from there. Hope this works or I'll just end up parting the engine and interior out for pennies. Wish me luck

Disconnect the battery cable for awhile, then reconnect.

I've done that to reset my codes and now I dont get any codes at all. I don't know how long it takes to register but it seems if something is going bad it would give a code right away.

Will low oil pressure shut down the engine?

Well today I pulled off the ignition module to have it tested and thats fine. then I checked the ohms on the pick up on the distributer and that seems to be fine. I am just about out of options to try here. I wish I had good mechanics around here that would take the time to test things out on the scope but that doesnt seem to be the case in my area.

if you can round up some money, i would get a code reader from wal-mart. i just bought one for my truck, it reads the computer while you are driving the truck. it pulls codes and can read if the moniters are doing their normal diagnostics. it cost me about 100 dollars, i cleared my trucks memorey with it and took about two days to run all the system checks. just remembered your truck is obd1 unlike my obd2, you might be able to get a similiar scanner though.

I should get a scanner that reads obd 1 and 2. Today I took the distributor off my old 4.3 that I took out of my 94 K 1500 and put it in the blazer. It didnt stall aftert an hour of running but when i push hard on the throttle it bogs down bad. it did this before switching distributors so its not the timing. It has to be something so simple and I just cant figure it out.
