I know what your looking for i have seen this before but that was a lot of years ago they had that conversion kit ,i,m taking it you want the truck to look stock otherwise would be way easier to just replace it with a newer H.E.I system.Found one website on it might be an old site but here ya go http://www.davessmallbodyheis.com/ .Also check out page 30 here http://go.mrgasket.com/pdf/MALLORY.pdf

ehcees: Correct, I want to maintain the original stock distributor & if available, just screw a component into the same space that points reside. No need to change out the distributor, looks original & no space conflicts from larger HEI distributor. Will check the web sites provided & report findings. Thanks for helping.

Chevy808: Here's a website: http://pertronix.com/home.htm
ehcees: A few years ago I attemped to contact these folks. Web site was cryptic & lacking any contact us ability. Two faxes got no reply. Do you have a toll free number and/or an E-mail address for Pertronix? Thanks for the lead.

ehcees: In past did call several local auto parts stores. New HEI distributor was availabe. No component for just replacing points in stock distributor with electronic was available. Will try again. Can you tell name of parts store that had the item for your boat? Reply appreciated.

I guess the technical support board is under construction. Try the auto parts store again like n brock mention and ask for pertronix. I know they have a catalog with phone numbers or email address or just order from them. Strange, on the oldspower board, a lot of the members were able to get it for their 442's.

Points Module Replacement Search Update

12/28/06 ehcees update:
Pertronix web site is same as in 2003 with no “contact us”, E-mail address or toll free#. No parts listing either. Seems like talking to Customers is not available & unacceptable to ehcees.

Local Hi Performance shop does sell Pertronix module replacement for $80. My 1971 C10 is all stock parts & Hi Perf shops are always high priced. I’m cost effective & Hi Perform is not.

Advance & Auto Zone (known by other names in different states) do not offer the item, when called yesterday.

Message has been sent to Mr. Gasket & awaiting reply. First step, for me, is too see how any company handles Customer inquiry.

www.davessmallbodyheis.com/ offers: General Motors window type V-8 all makes Full HEI conversion — $175.00 & MSD trigger conversion — $135.00, which seems overpriced & again the Hi Perform deal.
The search continues.
