Interior Problems...Seat Memory buttons & Rear Does not unlock ...

I have a 2003 Chevy 2500 Crewcab Duramax?Allison...
The seat memory buttons do not function...I have read that you need to get the seat to your desired location and push & hold #1 or #2 for 3 seconds and then you are supposed to hear a chime...this does not work

Also, the Driver-side rear door does not unlock on the first try after unlocking using either the driver-door rocker button or the remote/key - chain unit. The handle seems to be alittle easier to open once the inside mechanicals finally do work.

Any help would be appreciated

is it in park while setting the seat?

Yes! Always in park with motor off or on.
