94 chev automatic tranny troubles

i just bought a 94 s10 blazer 4.3 auto with 4wd have 2 problems gas in oil running rich i hope its fuel regulater has central port injection spendy other problem is in overdrive when shifting into 3rd gear its like going into neutral ,in regular drive 1st and 2nd is fine but wont shift into 3rd, reverse works good dosent seem to slip at all in 1 or 2 . Does it sound like my 3rd gear is toast needing new tranny or hopefully a modulator is it possible a vacuum leak could cause both fuel and tranny problem i hope i dont have remove tranny but maybe its time to learn to rebuid automatic thank you if you have any suggestions
