turbo tbi question

hi everyone, i'm a newbie here, i was referred by a turbomustangs.com member that told me if anyone would know these things you guys would.

the question is i have a 94 k2500/5.7/4l60/14 bolt 6 lug. i'm wanting to turbo it, i have done turbo projects in the past and am familiar with megasquirt. i want to keep the stock ecm controlling things, will the stock ecm recognize boost if i install a 2 bar map? if not is there one that will that is compatable? i have contacted one person who says they can burn a chip that will be fine to 7psi, does that sound right? i figure i'll seal the throttle body and drill a hole in the side of the regulator spring can thereby boost referencing it, and install a walbro 255 in tank pump, and use the carb hat off of my turbo'd 75 farm truck. i don't want to run over 7psi, i just need more towing power for dragging my race car up these arkansas mountians, does all this sound reasonable? thanks in advance for any help suggestions

ok, i appreciate it anyway. i've been reading around on here and you all seem like pretty good people to me, i'm a mechanic, and make my living working on chevy trucks because there's so many around here. i may try that chip and a tubo, it would be cool to kind of pioneer something for once.

As far as the stock ECM goes, I don't think you can use it with the boost. You'll need a tweak up one to accomadate for more air and fuel when the system calls for it. As for the rest of the stuffs, I can't help you there.....sorry. But when you get this figured out keep us posted on your project. Would like to know how its turning out.
