1994 Chevy 350 Starter

Hey folks, my 94 z71 with a 350 has starter problems, I think. The other night I stopped at the pizza joint and when I tried to start up and leave, it just made one good click. I tried twice more and on the third try it struggled but did start. I thought I had a battery problem. I got it home and it won't start with a good battery. It just makes one good click. I assume I need to replace the starter, but I want to make sure first.

Could be the solenoid on the starter. go to a bone yard if it is. I'm sure you can get one cheap. Before doing that try jumping the starter with a screw driver to see if the solenoid engages. It could be a wiring problem. check to see if maybe a wire is burned from manifold and shorting out

hayden has some good info but i would try the easiest first. i think you probably just need to clean the studs at the starter and make sure every thing is tight. i had this problem with our 95 chevy van, cleaned the studs and wires and has worked fine since.
