Smile 94 K1500 350 engine rebuild

I am in the process of rebuilding my 94 chevy's engine. It's a throttle body injected 350(5.7L). The block has the mechanical fuel pump mount cast into it, but it is not milled out. My questions are, does this block have the same bearing dimensions as a pre '87 block(cam, rod & main)? Are the cylinder bores the same? Basically is this just your standard late model small block? The crane cams spec sheets all say '57 to '87 engines. Also can I move up to a mild rv cam for towing and off-road without affecting the computer or TBI system? Once again the crane cams spec sheets all say "pre-computer". When I shop for a cam at Jegs mail order it lists the cam I want as 262c.i.-400c.i. '55-'98

all bearing dimensions are the same. yes you can go with a mild cam. I'd call the crane cam tech line tell them what you have and they can point you in the right way.

Yes. Just watch the duration @ .050 specs. keep it under 218* on both the intake and exhaust. Computer controlled vehicles probably, if not, only handle the next step up of the stock cam. Too much duration will cause a havoc on your ECM.
