hey guys
im new to this forumn stuff and im new to trucks i just bought a 1983 silverado it was half ton but now it is 3 quaterton!! im having trouble with it not starting it has been sitting for 2 weeks!! so what should i do to try to get this monster started? ALSO all the lights work except the tailights running lights and the taglights! i replaced all the bulbs and i bought a new headlight switch but that wasnt it so please help and provide any type of information about this truck you can this is my first truck i have ever owned thanks again

have u checked to see if your getting spark to the plugs? and fuel to the carb.? i would start there first

When you say it won't start what do you mean. It will turn over but not catch? Won't do anything when you turn the key? As for the lights if the only thing working is the headlights and interior lights I'd think the turn signal switch is the culprit.

the lights could also have a BAD ground

dont worry about the darn lights, lets get it runnign first. Need more info. Describe the wont start .
