01 silverado "security" message light

Not sure how this is happening. while driving down road security light in message center comes on alternately with the low fuel message (i know how to fix that one just waiting for fuel pump to die before doing so). as far as security light goes if I turn engine off while driving (in neutral of course) and restart sometimes it will stop other times it requires the engine to be cut off, key removed from ignition, and then restarted. this usually does the trick. It is becoming more frequent and a nuissance as well. any help in this matter would be appreciated.

Not familiar with the newer vehicles with the message center. GMTECH should be able to help you out.

remove the ground cable then the positive on the battery and leave disconected for about 30 mins. hook up positive first and then the ground and this should reset the computer and this might fix it.
