The speedo. gear assembly is held in by small bolt and retainer, remove that and there will be an 0-ring you can replace, that should fix the problem.

yall are going to laugh but when i first read the title, i thought, how does a speedometer leak?? is that anything like running low on halogen in your headlights?? dont know why i thought that. when removing the gear, remember that it is a plastic gear and to not get froggy with it.

There is actualy 2 seals for the housing. There is an oring like the other guy posted around the speedo housing and there is a seal inside the housing where the cable goes into that can also leak. While your in there and removing it replace both.
