Exclamation speedometer leak

hi ive got a 3speed 350 trans and i have a big leak at the point that the speedometer connects to the trans on the bullet could any one give me some clues why and how to fix it.

The speedo. gear assembly is held in by small bolt and retainer,remove that and there will be an 0-ring you can replace, that should fix the problem.

yall are going to laugh but when i first read the title, i thought, how does a speedometer leak?? is that anything like running low on halogen in your headlights?? dont know why i thought that.
when removing the gear, remember that it is a plastic gear and to not get froggy with it.

There is actualy 2 seals for the housing. There is an oring like the other guy posted around the speedo housing and there is a seal inside the housing where the cable goes into that can also leak. While your in there and removing it replace both.

thank yall for the help but i think the inner sleve is gone so im gonna have to replace it but thanks any way ill check the o ring and see if its still good
