Trying to resolve steering issues

I am working on a 1983 chev scottsdale the trouble is with the steering. When wheels are turned to the right they turn extremely sharp and when turned to the left they turn extremely shallow. Is this just something out of adjustment or is the steering box or something else bad? The frame was recently repaired due to stress fracture this was noticed when investigating the steering problem.

When you turn the steering wheel, are there the same amount of spins to the left as there are to the right?

I am thinking that perhaps that tire (s) may be rubbing on something?!?!

Talking Steering

I had similar problem with 95 K1500 Solution was to count # turns =3 turned back 1 1/2. found I could not adjust right tie rod end in far enough. The rod end was an inch longer than the left side, and bottomed out. I shortened it and set the wheels straight, then took the intermediate shaft off of the steering colum, turned the colum, and wheel 180 and all is well in the world. Alignment happens later this week, but for me the steering is now equal right to left and I am happy with my farm truck!!
