what to do now

ok so i have a '96 chevy 1500 extended cab with a 5.7 L 350. i've put a set of headers on it, a throttle body spacer, and a hypertech power programmer. i want to do something else to it to make it faster but i don't have much money. what would ya'll suggest?

depending on your budget you could go in the way of some new gears for the rear end... and also depending on how much gas mileage you are willing to give up to make it faster.

you could put a cam in it. fairly cheap. You can't go too big though.

the 96 came with SFI. a cam is going to through off his computers unless he goes with a mild cam. can the programmer configure to a larger cam??

If you go the cam route the max duration @ .050 should be 218 because of the ECM. Any more than that its gonna throw you some nasty codes. Gearing would be easier probably cost you about $200 to have it done unless you know your way with it.
