| I've seen it blocked when I took them apart and wondered why the passage was there and why the gasket blocked it. I put them back together blocked. Still don't know what its about. If it gets to bugging me next time around I'll see if maybe the tech guys at the dealership can shed some light on it. |

| What style choke, and what style carb, with which intake are you using? Most aftermarket intakes do not utilize a heat crossover, so it would not mater if you threw the metal plates away. If you are running an electric choke, manual choke, or no choke at all, then you should block the passages. If the previous one had no plate at all, then unless you are modifying it, leave the plate out, just like the old one. Usually the little tin plate burns up anyway. |
