2000 Chevy 4.8 5-speed 2wd Cranking Problems

I Have A 2000 Full Size Chevy 2wd With A 4.8, 5-speed. Sometimes It Wont Crank. Not Low Of Gas, It Will Turn Over Fine But Wont Crank. If You Let It Set For A While It Will Crank, And You Never Know When Its Not Gona Crank When You Get In It. No Check Eng Light Or Nothing. Where Do I Start?

By crank, do you mean start? It sounds like the truck cranks (turns over) but does not fire.
I might start with the fuel pump. pretty common on these trucks.

when your truck has this problem again,check to see if the security or theft message is staying lit on dash warning display,if so you have a problem with your factory passlock system.these trucks also have problems with there ignition switches,if you notice any gages flickering back and forth while driving,its time for a switch replacement.sometimes the fuel pump harness inside of tank melts and causes poor connection to fuel pump.a new fuel pump asssembly comes with pump and harness and fuel level sensor with float.
