| I need help!!! I am trying to install a column shifter in my 66 chev pick up, The shifter is out of 66 gmc, that had a powerglide. Am I going to be able to make it work with the Turbo 350 I am trying to mate it to? Will it be able to shift into all gears correctly? |

| You should have little problem with the amount of throw, (travel) in the linkage. Aftermarket companies have new linkages for this, as well as new identification glass that shows 3 speed instead of two speed. Looks nice to have the pointer inside the cab point to gear you have selected. I use a 700r4 in my 57' chev that originally had a p-glide, and the 700 has an extra detent. The stock shift lever works well. |
