| Help with Camshaft I own a 00 Silverado 5.3 with Volant CAI, Flowmaster 40's and a BBK Throttle Body...i want to put a new camshaft into my truck, but im wondering if its worth it cause i want more power but im not sure about the real outcome....any suggestions?

| i wouldnt. you can only put a mild cam in there if you dont want to do a bunch of reprogramming to the ecm. but with a mild cam, what have you accomplished?? sure it will add a little extra umph but the money and time is not going to be worth what you get in the end. |

| Brad is right and this is because of the ECM. But I'm not sure and you might want to check with Compcam. Supposedly......they made a cam to accomodate computer-controlled vehicles better.......supposedly.
